MARIENSCHLÖSSL WIEDENDORF CASTLE - In the kingdom of the Rose Countess
Surrounded by meadows, vineyards and woods, the little castle of the "Rose Countess" Catherine Matuschka is hidden in the backmost Strassertal valley. The creative owner has transformed the former vegetable and fruit garden into a wonderful rose paradise, where historical roses particularly grow over walls and arcades and show their beauty in the consistently changing, lovely arranged "garden rooms".
The possessor does not only open the garden gates for interested visitors, but also the doors of two romantic rooms overlooking the rose garden. There are special rose seminars offered, in which the owner passes her know-how on to others. The small rose shop, the garden café and the sale exhibition "Garden delight & rose enchantment" form further highlights.
