The palace of Grafenegg with its country park stretching over 32 hectares is one of the most significant historic palaces of Austria. It is about 50 minutes by car from Vienna. The palace garden of Grafenegg has history, botany and modernity to offer. Three different walks or tours open up 300 years of park history along 40 informative ground platforms, rare plants, architectural masterpieces and the newest works of art from Austria. A lot of special and impressive things can be found around the magical castle: hundreds of trees from all over the world, including some really rare ones; a net of routes, on which the visitors can discover the different historical phases of the park; the newly constructed open-air stage, called the "Wolkenturm"; artistic, modern and often surprising objects all around the park, such as the "Buchsdome Tower" of the Canadian artist Mark Dion - summing up, a unique ensemble of nature and human creation.
